I created this mini series of watercolor paintings while snowbound. "Seeing in Umber" explores the beauty of an analogous color scheme while "Winterscape" was largely inspired by the conditions outside my home.

about the artist
Piper Miru knew she wanted to be an artist the moment she could pick up a pencil. Throughout her childhood, she found joy and fulfillment in using her passion to create things for others.
After discovering her love for oil painting in middle school, she began taking on commission work––dog portraits were the demand at the time, keeping her busy until she graduated high school. She went on to earn an Associate of Arts in Studio Art in college, where she learned to expand and refine her creative and technical skill.
She is now based in Columbia, Tennessee, where she continues to hone her passion in hopes that her art connects with its viewers.
